At St Peter’s Pre-School, we provide a warm and nurturing semi-rural setting in the heart of Southend Bradfield, where every child and family is truly known. As parents and caregivers ourselves, we understand that choosing a pre-school is about more than education - it’s about finding trusted people who will care for your child, support your family, and help your little one flourish with confidence.
Everything your family needs to feel at home
Welcoming children from age 2, with funded places available, we celebrate every child as an individual and create opportunities for them to learn, grow and belong within our caring village community.

We are pleased to offer funded places, including the 15 and 30 hours free childcare schemes, helping more families access high-quality early years care in a nurturing rural setting.

MEET THE TEAM
Our experienced team each bring over 15 years of early childhood care and education. As parents ourselves, we understand how important those first separations are. We take time to truly know each child and family, creating a safe environment where children feel secure and confident.
OUR ENVIRONMENT
St. Peter’s Pre-School benefits from a variety of outdoor spaces, including a playground equipped with ride-on toys and larger physical activities such as balls, basketball hoops, pushchairs, tennis rackets, bean bags, tyres, and crates. Children also enjoy the added features of a playhouse and sandpit. In addition, we have an enclosed grassed park area with a climbing frame and slide, see-saw, trampoline, and a large tractor-tyre sandpit. The field behind the Pre-School is ideal for sports day, pancake races on Pancake Day, mini-beast hunts, and even adventures like ‘going on a bear hunt!’
Life at Pre-School
At St Peters Pre-School, we offer far more than childcare. Unlike a nursery setting that is primarily focused on care, our preschool provides a nurturing early learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and important social and school-readiness skills through play-based learning, gentle routines, and meaningful relationships. With experienced staff who take the time to truly know each child and their family, we create strong foundations for a happy and confident transition into primary school.
